![]() ![]() Never mind the character balance with how Jin was crazy strong compared to everyone, with Steve and Bryan at least not being far behind as far as I know. The throw changes were pretty weird too, in that 1+3 instead worked like a weird wrestling game grapple where you can push or change position, and 2+4 were your normal throws barring the proper command throws. Other weird design choices like the uneven stages, the way walls worked, the way juggles worked thanks to the uneven stages and how gravity in juggles were in that game, and so on. The movement in general tries to borrow things from Soul Calibur 2 (namely the smooth sidestepping) but it doesn't quite feel right, especially if you got to play both SC2 and TTT1 at the time. I love you man but why?Īs a guy who played it heavily, it's the most weird feeling Tekken game out of the bunch. Unique Character Move sets? What''s that? #Tekken 4 stages seriesThat 3D Mortal Kombat series which includes Deadly Alliance and Deception? I can acknowledge those games as flawed but I still have fond memories of them and enjoy them for what they are. #Tekken 4 stages ps2Haha you know what's funny and sad? I actually grew up in that PS2 Era that many MK Fans hate. I'd rather follow Asuka around or know what King's up to then to have them talk about the Devil Gene again but I guess I'm just that kind of guy. It's ironic that the main story in Tekken, the driving force with the Devil Gene is the thing I give the LEAST crap about. I never really cared for Jin and the whole Mishima struggles to be honest. Thank you very much, I really appreciate the answer. It's not Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2 or Mortal Kombat Armageddon Levels of an unbalanced mess but it is noticeably less upbeat and interesting then the other games. I can safely say that the art style and mechanics are defiantly my least favorite in the face of Tekken 5 and even 6 but that it's far from a horrible fighting game. UPDATE: I've been playing a bit of Tekken 4. Then I rewatched the MK Armageddon video on Saturday Morning Scrublords and Mat claimed that "Tekken 4 dropped the ball" What does he mean by that? Was Tekken 4 really that bad? Or is it just fan exaggeration? If so, then what's so bad about it? I'm genuinely curious. Except for one, when I went to go and see if there were any available copies for Tekken 4, my friends all told me to avoid Tekken 4, saying that it was a waste of money. I've been collecting many of the Tekken games from 3 to 7, with Tekken Tag 2 and 5 being my favorite so far. It plays mostly great and I've been enjoying it for the most part.
